Re: Major Use Special Permit (MUSP) applications filed by Citisquare Group LLC
To Whom It May Concern:
The McClatchy Company, the surviving corporation after the merger of Knight-
Ridder, Inc. with and into The McClatchy Company, supports the Major Use Special Permit
(MUSP) and rezoning applications filed by Citisquare Group LLC with the City of Miami in
connection with the property/projects listed below. Specifically, it is our understanding that four
MUSP applications and two rezoning applications have been submitted to the City of Miami and
will be heard on July 27, 2006. The McClatchy Company supports these MUSP/rezoning
applications:
Parcel 1 - 650 residential unit single tower with 1146 parking spaces, ground floor retail
on 7.27 acres of land along Biscayne Bay currently zoned C-2 being rezoned to SD-6 (south
portion of 1 Herald Plaza).
Parcel 3 - 500 residential unit single tower with 629 parking spaces, ground floor retail on
1.1 acres of land along Biscayne Bay currently zoned C-2 being rezoned to SD-6 (north portion
of 1 Herald Plaza).
Parcel 2 - 5 Story Retail Structure with approximately 641,000 SF of retail space and
4,000 parking spaces. (1431-1451 N. Bayshore Drive and 425 NE 13th Street).
Parcel 4 - 942 residential unit single tower with 1684 parking spaces and ground floor
retail (360 NE 14th Terrace and 1410-1420 N Bayshore Drive).
