no debe mostrar reflejos, la distancia mfnima
de los ojos al ordenador o television debe ser 40
centfmetros y debe cambiar de posicion des-
pues de dos horas de trabajo.
• Revisions. Concurra a las pruebas medicas
rutinarias establecidas por su empresa, y si es
un profesional o trabajador autonomo, vigile
periodicamente su salud para prevenir la apari-
cion de enfermedades o atajar a tiempo algunos
trastomos.
En el caso de la mujer, deben prevenirse con
especial cuidado los problemas reproductivos,
que pueden acarrear consecuencias no solo para
ella sino para su descendencia. En este caso la

cos, ciertas medicinas o drogas, tabaco, alcohol
y agentes biologicos son ejemplos de riesgos

La exposicion a sustancias peligrosas
durante los primeros tres meses del embara-
zo puede causar un defecto de nacimiento o
un aborto espontaneo. Se sabe que durante
los nitimos seis meses del embarazo, la expo-
sicion a los riesgos para la reproduction
puede retrasar el crecimiento del feto, o cau-
sar contracciones prematuras del parto,
pero no existe evidencia cientifca de que en
las trabajadoras con pantalla de visualiza-
rara prevemr estos problemas se aconseja
evitar el contacto con todo tipo de radiaciones,
abandonar los habitos nocivos para la salud,
como fumar o beber alcohol, no realizar un tra-
bajo fisico extenuante y controlar la manipula-
cion de productos qufmicos.
Tambien se aconseja a la mujer que evite
exponerse a riesgos biologicos, como agentes
infecciosos o elementos contaminados o
fuentes de intoxicaciones, y que procure elu-
dir las actividades estresantes y respetar el
descanso.
