Important Information
Property Owner:
Enclosed is the required notification by first class U5 Mail, return receipt requested per the
City of Miami Code of Ordinances Article IX Sec. 54-341 (d)(5) of the proposed street closures
for the 24T Annual King Mango Strut Parade set for Saturday, December 31' 2005.
The King Mango Strut Parade is usually held on the Sunday between Christmas and New Year's
Day. However, because Christmas day and New Year's Day are both on a Sunday, the parade will
be held this year on Saturday. This is only the 3 d time this has happened in our 24 years of
strutting.
The names and property addresses are from the latest tax record as found on the Miami -bade
County's website. If the property is leased or has tenants, we do not have to notify them. We
kindly are ask you, the property owner, to notify your lessees or tenants of this event
particularly because it is on New Year's Eve and on a Saturday afternoon. This could
affect their business's deliveries, their employees and their customers with access and
parking.
If a property is part of a homeowner's or condominium association, notifications were not sent
to the individual unit owners, only to the homeowner's or condominium association's address as
listed on the Florida Department of 5tate's website. It is up to the associations to notify
the individual unit owners of the proposed street closures. This could affect homeowners
who are having New Year Eve parties and/or out-of-town guests.
Please feel free to copy and distribute the enclosed flyer and map. We feel that if everyone is
properly prepared to receive 5-7,000 people that afternoon, we will all enjoy another great King
Mango Strut.
If you need any additional information, please don't hesitate to call me at 305-401-1171 or email
at abaldwin@insomnic.net. Thank you for your attention and helping the King Mango Strut keep
the NUT in CocoNUT Grove.
