Subject: Transferring funds to Sunshine for All, Inc.
Purpose of Item:
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,500, FROM THE CITY
OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT; ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS
TO SUNSHINE FOR ALL, INC., INCREASING THEIR CONTRACT FOR THE 31 ST YEAR, TO
CONTINUE TO PROVIDE HOME DELIVERED MEALS TO THE ELDERLY RESIDING IN
DISTRICT 4; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AMEND THE EXISTING
AGREEMENT, WITH SAID AGENCY FOR SAID PURPOSE.
Background Information:
• Pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0527, adopted September 8, 2005, the City Commission allocated
the amount of $13,500 from District 4 office budget non departmental account to City of Miami
Department of Community Development for social service activities in District 4
• Pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0383, adopted on June 9, 2005, the City Commission allocated the
amount of $10,000 to Sunshine for All, Inc. to provide services to the elderly
• The amount of $13, 500 will be to provide home delivered meals to homebound elderly residents
residing in District 4
