Over the past 25 years. Neil has worked as a designer on severd of Miami's signature structures such as Bayside Marketplace - a specialty community shopping complex in Downtown Miami and. the Miami Beach Convention Center - one of the largest convention centers in the south, Nell has also been active in his community as an advocate for good design in minority communities by participating as one of the Chairmen of the "We Will Rebuild" Committee formed after Hurricane Andrew to spearhead efforts to redevelop an area in South Miami -Dade, Florida devastated by the then worst natural disaster to hit the United States. He was subsequentty appointed Chairman of the Miami -Dade County Infill Strategy Task Force. More recent projects for his firms consist of consulting services for the new $256 miNioon Performing Arts Center of Greater Miami and the $26 million doNar South Dade Cultural Arts Center. His practice consists of The Hall Group, Inc., a planning, interior design, architecture, development and construction services firm. Due to his determination, The Hall Group, Inc. has been successful in developing a resume that runs the gamut of all project types - commercial, retail, aviation, residential. transportation. hospitality. institutional - for both public and private clientele. Highly recognized as a leader in his profession and the community. both on a local and national level, Neil Hall was elected as the first Black president for the American Institute of Architects - Miami Chapter, 2000 President for the National Organization of Minority Architects - representing over 6.000 Black architects nationwide, appointed Board Member for the State of Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design and past board member for other organizations such as the Miami -Dade Expressway Authority. the Humane Society of Greater Miami and Kristl House for Abused Children. Neil has been featured for his professional accomplishments on several occasions in numerous publications such as The Miami Herald, the Miami Today, The Miami Times, Caribbean Today, Project Destiny Magazine, and Blackines Magazine throughout the past 20 years. He is a traveling lecturer on community redevelopment and has received numerous awards for his commitment to his profession, excellence in design, service to the community and mentorship of our youth.
