HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-05-0702City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-05-0702 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 05-01399 Final Action Date: 11/17/2005 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DECLARING AN EXEMPTION FROM THE PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS CONTAINED IN SECTIONS 36-4(A) AND 36-5(A) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, AS RELATED TO THE LEVEL AND HOURS OF NOISE RESULTING FROM THE "PARADISE IN THE PARK" EVENT TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 3, 2005, ON BISCAYNE BOULEVARD AND 32ND STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, WITH THE LOCATION AND TIME PERMITTED BY THE OFFICE OF FILM ARTS, CULTURE AND ENTERTAINMENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. An exemption is declared from the prohibitions and restrictions contained in Sections 36-4(a) and 36-5 (a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, as related to the level and hours of noise resulting from the "Paradise in the Park" event to be held on December 3, 2005, on Biscayne Boulevard and 32nd Street, Miami, Florida, with the location and time permitted by the Office of Film Arts, Culture and Entertainment. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
