Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, authorizing and directing the City Manager to convey
in "AS IS" condition, the real property located at 142 NW 11 Street, Miami, Florida, as legally
described in Exhibit "A", to the Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment District, Community
Redevelopment Agency within whose redevelopment area the property lies. Further authorizing and
directing the City Manager to execute a quit claim deed and all other documents which are necessary
to effectuate said conveyance.
Background Information:
On July 13, 2001, the Southeast Overtown/Park West CRA requested certain property appearing on
the Miami -Dade County list of lands available for taxes, to be conveyed from the County. On
September 13, 2001, Miami -Dade County Board of County Commission passed and adopted
Resolution No. R-981-01, authorizing conveyance to the City of Miami of a parcel located at 142
N.W. 11 Street. On July 8, 2005, the County conveyed the property located at 142 N.W. 11 Street,
Miami, Florida to the City, pursuant to a duly executed County Deed dated July 8, 2005, for the City
to further convey the site to the Southeast Overtown/Park West CRA, for the purpose of supporting
the CRA's redevelopment efforts.
