Uniforms, Inc., for an initial contractual period of two years with options to renewal for two (2) additional one- year periods on an as needed basis under Bid Number 04-05-081. Background Information: The city has a need for uniforms - citywide for designated employees -- citywide. On Aug. 29, 2005, the city sent out the bid to one hundred seventy eight (178) vendors. At bid opening, Wednesday, September 14, 2005, two (2) vendors had responded and are included in the bid tabulations. Jules Bros. Uniforms, Inc. was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. This contract is required under the terms of the union contract and is used heavily by Parks and Recreation staff, General Services Administration and Garage, Property Maintenance, Code Enforcement and Building Inspectors for identification and safety purposes to the citizens of the City of Miami.
