RE: RFP # 04-05-097 — Medical Direction Service for EMS
To Whom It May Concern,
1611 N.W. 12th Avenue
Miami, Florida 33136-1094
The City of Miami and the Public Health Trust of Miami -Dade County / Jackson
Health System share a mutual interest in the provision of emergency medical
direction services to the City's and the Village of Key Biscayne's Fire Rescue
Departments. Therefore, we are pleased to respond to the above identified
Request for Proposals by offering an opportunity to continue partnering on this
important initiative.
As the incumbent Medical Direction Service provider, we seek to continue our
ongoing contractual arrangement to provide the highest standard of pre -hospital
emergency care via a coordinated, radio assisted system. Our system is in the
best interests of the taxpayers and is mutually beneficial to all parties as it is
efficient, effective, and responsive. As the entity that supports nearly half of
Miami's emergency medical transports, we play a critical role in pre -hospital
support for the integrity and continuity of emergency medical care for thousands
of patients.
Please be advised that I propose to continue in my role as Medical Director for
this important initiative and will serve as primary contact and overall Project
Manager. I am confident that we have an outstanding partnership with the City of
Miami and Village of Key Biscayne Fire Departments that is fundamental to the
citizens of these respective communities. My team looks forward to continuing
this relationship in the future, and we are pleased to submit this proposal. Should
you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (305) 585-7793. Thank
you in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Schrank, M.D.
