I would like to extend a special thanks to Chief Tom Hunker outstanding efforts to raise all of the funds necessary to host the Police Chiefs and Miami -Dade County Association of Chiefs o reception at the IACP Conference on September 24, 2005. NOTE: Chief Loizzo has served the North Miami Beach Police Dep for 32 years in a number of capacities: Deputy Chief, Assistant Operations, Major in charge of Administrative Services, Comm; charge of the Investigative Division and Supervisor of several Support Services units including: Community Patrol, Crime Pre Marine Patrol and Public Information. Chief Loizzo was the first promoted to the rank of Sergeant; the first woman promoted to the Lieutenant and Major, and the first woman promoted to the rank of Police for the North Miami Beach Police Department. She is also a tr the City's Police and Firefighters Pension & Retirement Board. Chief Loizzo is Regional Director for the Florida Police Chiefs Associa serves on the Legislative Committee.
