A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION RATIFYING THE
APPOINTMENT OF CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS AS MEMBERS OF THE OVERTOWN
ADVISORY BOARD.
APPOINTEES:
Barbara K. Loyd
Francisco De La Paz
Emanuel Washington
WHEREAS, an election was scheduled to be held on October 18, 2005 for the selection of four
members of the Overtown Advisory Board.
WHEREAS, a total of 3 individuals qualified as candidates for four seats during the qualification
meeting held on October 11, 2005.
WHEREAS, the three qualified candidates listed above are unopposed and are thereby
determined winners of the election.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby confirms the appointment of the above listed individuals
as members of the Overtown Advisory Board, each to serve a term of two years which will expire on
September 14, 2007.

Board appointments are administrative acts which do not require the Mayor's signature nor the City
Attorney's review and approval.
