Purpose of Item: Authorizing an award of a contract to Engine & Accessory, Inc. , the lowest responsive bidder, for the purchase of two chemical/pesticide truck to be used by the Department of Parks and Recreation's Operations Division for the spraying of pesticides and other chemicals as needed as part of the maintenance of our parks. Background Information: The Department of Parks and Recreation needs to replace the existing equipment that is very old and in constant disrepair leaving the City without the ability to spray pesticides and other chemicals as required. The City received one bid through Bid No. 04-05-099, in the amount of $90,500 from Engine & Accessory, Inc., a non minority/Miami-Dade County vendor. This resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute the required documents to purchase the chemical/pesticide truck. Budget Impact Analysis NO Is this item related to revenue?
