MA5906-127, CFDA NO. 16.007 ("SUBGRANT AGREEMENT"), IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, FOR DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS EQUIPMENT ("EQUIPMENT"), FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES ADMINISTERING A GRANT FOR THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE STATE AND LOCAL DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS EQUIPMENT PROGRAM, FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI'S DEPARTMENT OF POLICE ("DEPARTMENT"); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE DEPARTMENT TO ACCEPT SAID EQUIPMENT AND TO EXECUTE ANY OTHER NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO ACCEPT, TO IMPLEMENT, AND TO COMPLY WITH SAID SUBGRANT AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT TO PAY FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF SAID EQUIPMENT, SUBJECT TO BUDGETARY APPROVAL, COMMENCING SEPTEMBER, 2007, IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $6,000, WITH NO MORE THAN ATHREE PERCENT (3%) INCREASE THEREAFTER; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE OPERATING BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. 001000.290201.6.670. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute a Subgrant Agreement for Equipment for Florida Strategy Contract No. MA5906-127, CFDA No. 16.007 ("Subgrant Agreement"), in substantially the attached form, for domestic preparedness equipment, from the State of Florida, Department of Management Services administering the United States Department of Justice State and Local Domestic Preparedness Equipment Program, for the City of Miami's Department of Police ("Department"). Section 2.The City Manager and the Department are authorized{1} to accept the equipment and to execute any other necessary documents to accept, to implement, and to comply with said Subgrant Agreement. Section 3. Subject to budgetary approval, the Department is authorized to pay for the maintenance of said equipment, commencing September, 2007, in an annual amount not to exceed $6,000, with no more than a three percent (3%) increase thereafter, with funds allocated from the Department of Police General Fund Account No. 001000.290201.6.670. Section 4. The herein authorization shall remain valid and outstanding even if the anticipated subgrant award of equipment is reduced or increased. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 05-01054 (Version: 1) Printed On: 12/2/2016 File Number: 05-01054 Enactment Number: R-05-0592 Footnotes: {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
