HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 05-00987 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 04-335, ADOPTED MAY 27, 2004, FURTHER AMENDED BY RESOLUTION NO. 05-0188, ADOPTED MARCH 24, 2005, FOR THE PROVISION OF UNIFORMS AND ACCESSORIES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, BY CHANGING MARTIN'S LAMAR UNIFORMS GROUP 1 ALTERNATE BID TO GROUP 1 BASE BID. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 04-0335, adapted May 27, 2004, the City Commission accepted the bids of Martin's Lamar Uniforms, for Group 1 (Alternate Bid), and Harrison's Uniforms, for Groups 2 through 9, for the provision of uniforms and accessories, for the Department of Police, for a one-year period, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods, at a first year annual amount not to exceed $950,000, subject to an increase of 4% for Martin's Lamar Uniform for each year thereafter, and an increase of 6% for Harrison Uniforms for each year thereafter; and WHEREAS, said funds were allocated from the Department of Police General Operating Budget, Account Code No. 001000.290201.6.075; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0188, adopted March 24, 2005, the City Commission included additional sources of funds to be added to said Resolution; and WHEREAS, the Department of Police has determined that the uniforms awarded under Group 1 (Alternate Bid), does not meet their requirements; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Resolution No. 05-0188, adopted March 24, 2005, is further amended in the following particulars: {1} "Resolution No. 05-0188 Section 1. "The bids of Martin's Lamar Uniforms, for Group 1, (a't�, a base bid) and Harrison Uniforms, for Groups 2 through 9, for the provision of uniforms and accessories, for the Department of Police, for a one-year period with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods, at a first year annual amount not to exceed $950,000, is accepted, subject to an increase of 4% for Martin's Lamar Uniform for each year thereafter, and an increase of 6% for Harrison Uniforms for each year thereafter, with funds allocated from the Department of Police General City of Miami Page 1 of 2 Printed On: 9/12/2005 File Number. 05-00987 Operating Budget, Account Code No. 001000.290201.6.075, and the use of grants, as an additional funding source for future Fiscal Years, subject only to budgetary approval. *II Section 3.
