Director Chief/ City Manager_ Page 1 of I Supplemental Background Information Subject; Fourth Amendment to Operating Agreement for Watson Island Parking Operations Background Information: The City and the Department of Off -Street Parking ("DOSP") entered into an Agreement ("Agreement") currently known as the Miami Parking Authority ,on August 8, 2002 to design, construct, finance, operate, maintain and manage the Boat Ramp Parking Facility in the City of Miami at Watson Island. The City applied for and secured a grant award of $50,000 from the Department of Environmental Protection ("DEP") with an equal amount being funded by the DOSP for the construction of the baywalk. The proposed amendment to the Agreement provides for DOSP's use of DEP grant funds in the amount of $50,000 for the design and construction of the Watson Island Baywalk Project. DOSP's use of these funds shall be subject to their compliance with certain terms and conditions as more fully set forth in the amended ap-reement.
