HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 05-00892 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING A CONTRIBUTION OF FUNDS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $29,981, FROM THE FLORIDA FISH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION COMMISSION; ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THREE CHANNEL MARKER PLATFORMS FOR BRENNAN'S CHANNEL AT DINNER KEY MARINA. WHEREAS, the existing channels at Brennan's Channel at Dinner Key Marina have been severely damaged by corrosion and the contact of strayed vessels and are beyond repair; and WHEREAS, the replacement of new platforms will provide essential navigational aids for vessel traffic; and WHEREAS, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has issued a purchase order as a contribution of funds to the City of Miami ("City") in the amount of $20,241, to cover the first installment payment for the installation of the new replacements; and WHEREAS, residents of the City and all users of the maritime community will benefit from this contribution by the safety and enhancement of the navigational channels of the waterways at Dinner Key Marina; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Miami City Commission accepts a contribution of funds in the total amount of $29,981, from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and allocates said funds for the replacement of three channel markers for Brennan's Channel at Dinner Key Marina. Section 3. The City accepts the terms and conditions set forth for the acceptance of said contribution. Section 4.
