A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS
DISTRICT FIVE FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000; ALLOCATING SAID
FUNDS TO HAVEN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, INC., FOR HOME BUYER
EDUCATION ACTIVITIES, AS SPECIFIED IN "ATTACHMENT A," ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT, WITH SAID AGENCY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, per the Code of Regulations 24 CFR 92.206(d) (6), Home Investment Partnerships
("HOME") funds can be utilized for staff and overhead costs directly related to carrying out projects and
services related to assisting potential owners, tenants and homebuyers; and
WHEREAS, this Administration is requesting transferring HOME District 5 funds, in the amount of
$50,000, to Haven Economic Development, Inc., for home buyer education activities; and
WHEREAS, said agency would provide home buyer education to District 5 residents for all
projects being developed receiving Department of Housing and Urban Development funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of HOME District 5 funds, in the amount of $50,000 and the allocation
of said funds to Haven Economic Development, Inc., for Home Buyer Education activities, as specified
in Attachment A," attached and incorporated, is authorized.

Footnotes :
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed
by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code
provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
