A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF A POINT OF SALES CASHIERING SYSTEM,
WHICH INCLUDES HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, INTEGRATION SERVICES,
LIMITED EXPANSION, AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES, FROM WONDERWARE,
INC., D/B/A CORE BUSINESS TECHNOLOGIES, UTILIZING EXISTING CLARK
COUNTY, WASHINGTON REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS NO. 365, EFFECTIVE
FOR A FIVE (5) YEAR PERIOD, SUBJECT TO FURTHER EXTENSIONS OR
REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS BY CLARK COUNTY, WASHINGTON, TO BE
UTILIZED BY VARIOUS USER DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES, ON AN
AS -NEEDED CONTRACT BASIS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $150,000;
ALLOCATING SAID FUNDS FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
ACCOUNT CODE NO. 311613, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $120,000 AND
FROM GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT CODE NOS. 001000.460101.6.335,
001000.460101.6.270 AND 001000.460101.6.670, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $30,000; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED
FORM, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, Request for Proposals ("RFP") No. 365 issued by Clark County, Washington for the
provision and installation of a Point of Sales Cashiering Application and following an evaluation, a
contract was awarded to Wonderware, Inc., d/b/a CORE Business Technologies; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") desires to implement and administer a point of sales
cashiering system for user departments and agencies on an as -needed basis; and
WHEREAS, the integrated point of sales cashiering system will be designed to promote
cashiering efficiency, flexibility in reporting, accountability and convenience to citizens by reducing the
time, paperwork and handling costs associated with a manual cashiering process; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the City's Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City
acquire a point of sales cashiering system from Wonderware, Inc., d/b/a CORE Business
Technologies, utilizing the executed contract from Clark County, Washington RFP No. 365;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The acquisition of a point of sales cashiering system, which includes hardware,

software, integration services, limited expansion, and maintenance services, from Wonderware, Inc.,
d/b/a Core Business Technologies, utilizing existing Clark County, Washington RFP No. 365, effective
for a five (5) year period, subject to further extensions or replacement contracts by Clark County,
Washington, to be utilized by various user departments and agencies, on an as -needed contract
basis, in an amount not to exceed $150,000, is authorized, with funds allocated from Capital
Improvement Project Account Code No. 311613, in the amount not to exceed $120,000 and from
General Fund Account Code Nos. 001000.460101.6.335, 001000.460101.6.270 and
001000.460101.6.670, in the amount not to exceed $30,000.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute a Professional Services Agreement, in
substantially the attached form, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
