Subject: Turf grass maintenance for Hadley Park Football Field
Purpose of Item:
Authorizing an award of a contract to South Florida Maintenance Services, Inc. The lowest
responsive and responsible bidder for the turf grass maintenance for Hadley Park football field.
Funds have been allocated from the Parks and Recreation Operations Division Budget. The term of
the contract is for one year with the option to extend for three (3) additional one year periods, for an
annual cost not to exceed $25,140 and total contract amount not to exceed $100,560. Funds are
available from account code 0010000.580302.6.340.
Background Information:
The City of Miami Parks and Recreation Operation Division has analyzed the bids received for turf
maintenance services for Hadley Park Football Field. The award of this contract will be used by the
Department of Parks and Recreation to ensure the proper turf grass maintenance services at Hadley
Park football fields, including mowing, aeration, top dressing, fire ant control, fertilization, inspection
of irrigation system and pest control. This area is heavily used and without this program the turf will
die.
