NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on
June 23, 2005 at 9:00 a.m., at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami,
Florida, presenting a Resolution of the Miami City Commission, by a four -fifths (4/5ths)
affirmative vote, authorizing the City Manager to exercise the Option to purchase real
property located at 990 N.E. 79 Street, Miami, Florida ("property"), as legally described
in the option agreement between the City of Miami and Jeffrey Lefcourt, in connection
with the development of a fire station, for a total purchase price of nine hundred thousand
dollars ($900,000) and to consummate said transaction in accordance with the terms of
said option agreement; further allocating funds, in the amount of nine hundred thirty-five
thousand two hundred dollars ($935,200.00) from the Neighborhood Fire Stations and
Training Facility Project, Account No. 313306.289307 appropriated from the $255
million dollar Homeland Defense/neighborhood Improvement bond to cover the cost of
said acquisition inclusive of cost of survey, environmental reports, demolition and other
costs associated with said acquisition.
All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard concerning the above.
Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to
any matter considered at this hearing, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of
the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal
may be based (F.S. 286,0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special
