Background Information: • Federal regulations require the City to provide an opportunity for citizen participation in the planning process for HUD related grant activities; • A series of Public Hearings were held in each City Commission District to solicit public participation in the planning process for each District's HUD related grant activities; • Public hearings were duly advertised to provide public notice regarding the proposed use for said grants; • The City solicited proposals from agencies providing activities to City residents through a Request for Proposals process.
