A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ALLOCATING 31ST PROGRAM YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,398,140 AND FUTURE PROGRAM
INCOME FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000,000, FOR A TOTAL ALLOCATION
OF $10,398,140, FOR THE 31ST PROGRAM YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
2005, AS SPECIFIED IN "ATTACHMENT A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED.
WHEREAS, federal regulations require the City of Miami ("City") to provide an opportunity for
citizen participation in the planning process for the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development ("U.S. HUD") related grant activities; and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held in the City Commission Districts to solicit public participation
in the planning process for the City's U.S. HUD related grant activities; and
WHEREAS, the public hearings were duly advertised to provide public notice regarding the
proposed use of said grants funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of 31st Program Year Community Development Block Grant funds, in the
amount of $9,398,140 and future Program Income funds, in the amount of $1,000,000, for a total
allocation of $10,398,140, for the 31st Program Year beginning October 1, 2005, as specified on
"Attachment A," attached and incorporated, is authorized.
Section.3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

Footnotes:
(1 ) if the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
