Subject: Purchase two (2) LDV Mobile Command Centers
Purpose of Item:
A Resolution to purchase two (2) LDV Model #MCC3OLLC260-03, Mobile Command Centers,
consisting of equipment listed in the attachments, from LDV, Inc., via the Police Department which
will be utilized by the Police and Fire Department for counter drug activities , as authorized under
Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Miami, and the State of Florida Counter -Drug
Procurement Program, established and maintained pursuant to National Defense Authorization Act
Section 1122, known as the `1122 Program,' in an amount not to exceed $449,335 each, for a total of
$898,670.
Funding is available from the following expenditure accounts: Department of Police - Capital
Improvement Program, Police Homeland Defense Preparedness Bond, B-72911, Account Code No.
312048.299307.6.840, in the amount of $449,335. Department of Fire -Rescue - Urban Areas Security
Initiative (UASI) Grant Program II, FY 2003, Account Code No. 110111.280910.6.840, in the amount
of $281,584, and Capital Improvement Program, B-72814, Account Code No. 313305.289307.6.840,
in the amount of $167,751.
