JUSTIFICATION:
The Departments of Police is requesting the purchase of two (2) LDV Mobile Coim.and Caters
to be utilized primarily during counter -drug activities and when necessary for __ SeCuOty
incidents or other large events that pose potential targets.
HOW IS THIS I'1EM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE
CUSTOMER / CITIZENS?
The Mobile Commander Centers will be operated by Incident Commanders to conduct on -scene
planning, crisis management, and consequence management of major police events. The Mobile
Command Centers will also serve as backup communications centers in the event the central
Communications Unit located at the Police Headquarters Building is inoperative or abandoned.

Security Initiative Grant Program II, and the Police Homeland Defense Preparedness Bond.
