Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachment(s), authorizing the City Manager to
execute an Interlocal Agreement, in substantially the attached form, among the City of Miami, Miami -
Dade County, and the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") delineating and
delegating the powers of the CRA.
Background Information:
On March 1, 2005, by Resolution No. R-213-05, the Board of Commissioners of Miarni-Dade
County ("County") delegated the power to create a community redevelopment agency in the Midtown
Redevelopment Area to the City of Miami with the sole power, initially, to prepare and adopt a
redevelopment plan. On March 24, 2005, by Resolution No. R-05-0194, the City created the
Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA"). The City, the County, and the CRA desire to
enter into an Interlocal Agreement to delineate and delegate those additional powers necessary to
allow the CRA to operate.
