HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolutionCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www,ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 05-00012 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, AMONG THE CITY OF MIAMI, MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, AND THE MIDTOWN COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") DELINEATING AND DELEGATING THE POWERS OF THE CRA. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-213-05, adopted March 1, 2005, the Board of Commissioners of Miami -Dade County ("County") delegated the power to create a community redevelopment agency in the Midtown Redevelopment Area to the City of Miami ("City") with the sole power, initially, to prepare and adopt a redevelopment plan; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0194, adopted March 24, 2005, the City created the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA"); and WHEREAS, the City, the County, and the CRA desire to enter into an Interlocal Agreement to delineate and delegate the additional powers needed to allow the CRA to operate; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORI DA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Interlace! Agreement, in substantially the attached form, among the City of Miami, Miami -Dade County, and the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency delineating and delegating the powers of the CRA. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: RG L. ' - ANDEZ TY TO"NEY Footnotes: City of Miami Page 1 of 2 Printed On: 5/24005 File Number: 05-00012 {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
