Subject: Garbage Bags and Liners
Purpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to establish a city-wide contract for garbage bags and liners from various
vendors, for a bid contractual period consisting of a base term of two (2) years with options to renewal
for two (2) additional one-year periods, on an as needed basis, by City departments.
Background Information:
•
Garbage bags and liners from various established vendors are needed in order for City departments to
dispose of trash generated by daily general operations and city sponsored events.
On March 3, 2005, the Purchasing Department sent bids to sixteen (16) participating vendors. Four
(4) vendors responded and have been recommended for award based on the lowest responsive,
responsible bid offered.
