Background Information: The Department of Police utilizes the canine dogs as an effective law enforcement tool. The dogs are used to search buildings, perimeters, etc., for criminals, explosive devices and narcotics. The dog's sensitive nose allows them to locate the offender long before a human is able, making it safe for police officers.
