Thompson References: May 12, 2005 Agenda City Clerk Enclosures: List of members The Nuisance Abatement Board was created to resolve controversies over the existence of public nuisances, such as violative use of property in Miami. Pursuant to Code Sec. 2-885(b), no board member shall serve more than eight consecutive years on any one board. This provision may be waived by a unanimous vote of the members of the City Commission. All five members' terms expire on May 5, 2005: • Vice Chairman Gonzalez has one nomination for seat currently held by Lazaro J. Lopez. • Commissioner Winton has one nomination for seat currently held by Shane Graber. • Chairman Sanchez has one nomination for seat currently held by Robert Valledor. Mr. Valledor has served as a member since May 5, 1994, exceeding Code term limit. • Commissioner Regalado has one nomination for seat currently held by Monique Taylor. Ms. Taylor has served as a member since July 25, 1996, exceeding Code term limit. • Commissioner Allen has one nomination for seat currently held by Anthony Cantey. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the May 12, 2005 Commission agenda.
