HomeMy WebLinkAboutpre resolutionJ-03--482 06/02/03 RESOLUTION NO. 0 3- 650 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, BY A 4/5THS AFFIRMATIVE VOTE, AFTER AN ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARING, RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING THE CITY MANAGER'S FINDING OF SOLE SOURCE; WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPETITIVE SEALED BIDDING PROCEDURES, AND APPROVING THE ACQUISITION AND INSTALLATION OF FREEDOM CALL RECORDING AND ARCHIVING SYSTEM, FROM DICTAPHONE CORPORATION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $850,000; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE E-911 OPERATING BUDGET, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 196002.290461.6.840. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. By a four -fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote, after an advertised public hearing, the City Manager's finding of sole source is ratified, approved, and confirmed, the requirements for competitive bidding procedures are waived, and the purchase and installation of the Freedom Call Recording and Archiving System, from the Dictaphone Corporation, sole manufacturer and distributor for this acquisition, is approved, for the Department of Police, in an amount not to exceed $850,000, with funds allocated from the E-911 Operating Budget, Account Code No. 196002.290461.6.840. CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF .JUN 1 2 2003 Resolution No. 03- 650 Section 2.
