Consideration of an ordinance amending Ordinance
No. 11000, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Miami, by amending Article 8, Section
803, NCD-3 Coconut Grove Neighborhood
Conservation Overlay District , by amending Section
803.6 to add provisions for maximum retail square
footage; containing a repealer provision and a
severability clause; and providing for an immediate
effective date.
Approval.
The proposed amendment is in order to place
maximum size limitations on retail facilities within the
C-1 and SD-2 commercially zoned properties
located in NCD-3 (Coconut Grove). The purpose is
to maintain the character of Coconut Grove as it
relates to scale of retailing and its effect on adjacent
neighborhoods as well as the built environment of
the Grove.
