Subject: Amending Resolution 04-0539, adopted September 9, 2004 by increasing the contract with H
& R Pavin, Inc. for an additional $50,000.
Purpose of item:
An increase in the contract awarded to H & R Paving, Inc., pursuant to Resolution 04-0539, adopted
September 9, 2004, in an amount not to exceed $50,000, increasing the contract from $344,550 to
$394,550, for additional work required for repairs to the City of Miami's sidewalk infrastructure.
Background Information: _
The City of Miami Public Works Department under the current contract with H & R Paving, Inc. is
repairing all the broken sidewalks, curbs and curb & gutter citywide. There are several locations with
extensive damage to the sidewalk area creating a hazard to pedestrian traffic. Additional funding of
$50,000 is allocated from Capital Improvements Account No. 341330 to cover this increase.
