Subject: Purchase of one (1) 2005 Vactor Truck model number 2115-16.
Purpose of Item:
To purchase one (1) 2005 vactor truck model 2115-16 - Positive Displacement Sewer Cleaner, five
(5) jet heads, one rotary root cutter, optional extended warranty package and the fleet management
software. The City will piggy back from an existing City of Fort Lauderdale contract with
Environmental Products of Florida.
Background Information:
The City of Miami Public Works Department is using the current bid with the City of Fort Lauderdale
with Environmental Products of Florida to purchase one (1) vactor truck model 2115-16 - Positive
Displacement Sewer Cleaner, five (5) jet heads, one rotary root cutter, optional extended ,warrant
packages and the fleet management software. Environmental Products of Florida has submitted a
proposal of $249,202 for this vactor truck. The new Vactor truck will supplement our present fleet by
increasing the number of operational trucks to four. The fleet management software included in this
purchase will allow us to monitor on a daily basis the number of inlets being cleaned as well as pin-
point locations by using a GPS-GIS feature.
