HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Ha!! 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 wvvw.ci.rniami.fi.us File Number: 05-00258 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENTS, ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING ADVISORY BOARD AND FINDING THAT THE MIDTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PLAN, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, IS IN CONFORMITY WITH THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AS A WHOLE. WHEREAS, the Midtown Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") was created by the Miami City Commission pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0194, adopted March 24, 2005; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") Department of Planning prepared a Redevelopment Plan ("Plan") for the Midtown Redevelopment Area in cooperation with the City's Department of Economic Development and other City departments and agencies; and WHEREAS, prior to the CRA's consideration of the Plan, the CRA must submit the Plan to the local planning agency for review and recommendations as to its conformity with the comprehensive plan for the development of the City as a whole; and WHEREAS, the CRA's Board of Commissioners by Resolution No. Midtown CRA 05-001, adopted March 24, 2005, accepted the Plan and requested that it be transmitted to the local planning agency for review and recommendations; and WHEREAS, the Planning Advisory Board ("PAB") reviewed the Plan and by Resolution No. PAB-05- , adopted April 6, 2005, recommended that the City Commission find that the Plan conforms to the comprehensive plan for the development of the City as a whole; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Commission accepts the recommendation of the PAB and finds that the Midtown Miami Redevelopment Plan, attached and incorporated, is in conformity with the comprehensive plan for the development of the City as a whole. Section 3. FERNANDEZ CITY ATTORNEY Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
