HomeMy WebLinkAboutmemoCITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM TO FROM: The Honorable Mayor and DATE : October 14, 2004 FILE Members of The City Commission SUBJECT: Amended Resolution Transferring CDBG funds from Closed out Activities REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: City Commission Agenda October 14, 2004 RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution, with Attachment(s), authorizing the transfer of closeout Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in an amount not to exceed $999,297,00 to Southwest Social Services, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $81,300,00; to CDBG Reserve in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00; to Allapattah Wynwood Community and Development Center, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $290,000.00; to St. Alban's Day Nursery, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00; to housing activities to be funded and approved by the Housing & Commercial Loan Committee in the amount not to exceed $277,997.00. BACKGROUND: This Administration is requesting that funds be transferred as specified below: Agency/Activitv Transfer From: Transfer To: City of Miami Lot Clearing (IDIS # 1120) $560,203.53 City of Miami Lot Clearing (IDIS# 1331) $182,187.96 City of Miami Code Enforcement -NET (IDIS# 1333) $132,888.75 City of Miami Code Enforcement Building (IDIS# 1334) $124,016.76 Southwest Social Services, Inc. (IDIS# 1441) $81,300.00 Funding to be utilized for the completion of the City owned parking lot adjacent to the elderly meals program center. CDBG Reserve $300,000.00 Mencv/Activity Transfer From: Transfix:To: Allapattah Wynwood Community and Development Center. $290,000.00 Inc. (IDIS# 1358) Funding to be utilized for the completion of a childcare facility adjacent to said agency's existing property. St. Alban's Day Nursery, Inc. $50,000.0{) Funding to be utilized for playground improvements for the Booker Street location (District 2) which provides services to Head Start children and for the creation of a shaded playground with cover for the infant facility located at Williams Street.
