Southwest Social Services is proposing the construction of a new parking lot and adding new
spaces to the existing parking lot.
1. A total of twenty-two (22) spaces will be added. Twelve (12) spaces will be next to the
main office building and ten (10) spaces will be next to the "domino" building.
2. This project will require the removal of sod seven inches deep, a concrete block and some
roots.
3. Six inches of lime -rock will be added and compacted, and then one inch of host .asphalt
will be rolled.
4. Once the spaces are completed, county approved bumpers will be delivered stripped and
painted.
5. Removal and install two chain link fences. The fences are located at the front and back of
the site. Each fence is approximately 150 linear feet.
6. Commercial grade materials will be used as nine -gauge wire, two and one half inch T
post.
7. Relocate a 2" water line discovered during the construction phase. This water line is
approximately 50 ft long.
8. Relocate the existing Water Fountain.
9. Removal of the Light Pole; not specified in the original work program.
10. Additional sidewalks requested by the City of Miami.
11. Install new Fencing Rolling Gates.
12. Change the feeder line for the irrigation system.
The work is being done through the City of Miami Department of Off Street Parking. The work,
was contracted out to Williams Paving. All work will be completed prior to September 30, 2005.
