HomeMy WebLinkAboutattachmentBEXHIBIT B — WORK PROGRAM MEALS FOR HOMEBOUND LONG TERM RENTAL ASSISTANCE PARTICIPANTS A meal (frozen or hot) must meet Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) published by the National Academy of Science, appropriate for the dietary needs of the program participants, all of whom are living with AIDS. Nutritional needs may vary from participant to participant. Meals must be easy to open, appealing and tasty. Frozen meals must be capable of being cooked/heated in both the microwave and oven. Meal preparation facilities must be commercial kitchens meeting state and local licensing requirements. • Deliver nutritionally -balanced meals that meet the above standard and their capacity to provide ethnic foods and food suited to special client needs. • Make timely meal delivery on a daily basis, meaning that the Project Sponsor has an adequate transportation system and has the ability to maintain food quality and temperature during delivery to participant homes and that the meals are delivered at the appointed time. • Quickly respond to new client assignments, service terminations, temporary service suspension due to hospitalization, etc. and/or changes in a participant's nutritional needs. • Ensure adequate administrative and accounting procedures and controls to safeguard all funds that may be warded under the terms of this RFP. • Meet program expenses in advance of reimbursement.
