Subject: Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement Number 2 for the Flagler Street Marketplace
Project
Purpose of Item:
To approve Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement Number 2 with the Florida Department of
Transportation for the Flagler Street Martketplace Project. This Supplemental Agreement amends the
Project Description, Project Cost breakdown, Exhibit B and the Contract Time.
Background Information:
On September 11, 2003, Resolution No. 03-967 was adopted by the City Commission authorizing the
execution of a Joint Participation Agreement ("JPA"), in the amount of $2,607,000, for the
administration and technical supervision of the Flagler Street Marketplace Project in Downtown
Miami. The scope of work includes construction for the Flagler Street Corridor Improvements Project
(drainage improvements, milling and resurfacing, signing and pavement markings, striping an curb
and gutter modifications, among others).
The Supplemental Joint Participation Agreement amends and supplements the JPA by updating the
Project Description to reflect the latest project costs as well as agencies' percentages of participation.
In addition, the Project Cost have been revised, Exhibit B is amended and the Contract Time is
amended to June 30, 2006.
