Subject: Amending Resolution 04-0262, adopted April 22, 2004 by increasing the contract with T.J.
Pavement Corporation by an additional $200,000.
Purpose of Item:
To increase the contract awarded to T.J. Pavement Corportation, pursuant to Resolution 04-0262,
adopted April 22, 2004, in an amount not to exceed $200,000, increasing the contract from $850,650
to $1,050,650, for additional work required for maintenance services to the City of Miami's
stormwater infrastructure.
Background Information:

The City of Miami Public Works Department under the current contract with T.J. Pavement
Corporation is repairing all the broken catch basin, manhole structures and collapsed stormwater
pipes. The stormwater infrastructure at several locations is damaged to an extent that Public Works
Operation's forces will not be able to perform the required work to repair the collapsed, root infested
pipes and french drain systems. The additional funding of $200,000 is allocated from Public Works
General Account No. 001000.311003.6.340.
