Subject: Memorandum of Agreement for Local Participating Agencies USAR Task Force
Purpose of Item:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution with
attachment(s), amending Resolution No. 01-484, adopted May 24, 2001, to include the City of Palm
Beach Gardens, as a participating agency, as stated in "Exhibit A", attached and incorporated herein,
for the purpose of setting forth the agency responsibilities in connection with the development and
support of a local Urban Search and Rescue ("USAR") Task Force coordinated by the City of Miami
Department of Fire -Rescue with all costs to be reimbursed by State and Federal funding sources.

As the sponsoring agency of the South Florida USAR Task Force, FL TF 2 the Department of Fire -
Rescue desires to add the City of Palm Beach Gardens (the "Participating Agency") who wishes to
participate in the USAR Task Force Program. This amendment will expand the Task Force by
providing additional personnel with the appropriate expertise at no cost to the City of Miami.
Resolution No. 01-484, adopted May 24, 2001, authorized the City Manager to execute Memorandum
of Agreements, in substantially the attached form, with each of the participating agencies listed in
"Exhibit A", attached and incorporated, setting forth the agencies' responsibilities in connection with
the development and support of a local Urban Search and Rescue ("USAR") Task Force and
coordinated by the City of Miami Department of Fire -Rescue with all costs to be reimbursed by State
and Federal funding sources.
