HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolutionCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American ❑rive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fkrs File Number: 05-00260 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING FUNDING OF CRIME STOPPERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY INC., ALLOCATING FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,000, FROM THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND, SUCH EXPENDITURES HAVING BEEN CERTIFIED BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE AS COMPLYING WITH FLORIDA STATUTES, CHAPTER 932.7055, AS AMENDED. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA; Section 1. Funding of Crime Stoppers of Miami -Dade County, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $10,000, is authorized, with funds allocated from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, Project Number 690001, such expenditure having been approved by the Chief of Police as complying with the provisions of Florida Statutes, Chapter 932.7055, as amended. Section 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 932.7055, Florida Statutes (2002), as amended, the recipient, Crime Stoppers of Miami -Dade County, Inc. shall (1) certify that the funds appropriated will be used lawfully and for the purpose stated, (2) be required to maintain proper accounting records for the expenditure of such monies, and (3) provide any reports, including, but not limited to, audit reports, as may be required by the City of Miami or applicable law. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1 } APPROVED AS TO FORM AND COR ECTNESS: 1/4 JORQE L. EFNANDEZ CITY' TT RNEY Footnotes; {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted.
