A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING A
CONTRIBUTION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,000, TO THE FLORIDA
CHAPTER OF THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION NATIONAL
ACADEMY ASSOCIATES, INC., AS FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO HOST THE 2005
NATIONAL RETRAINING CONFERENCE TO BE HELD ON JULY 2 - 6, 2005, BY
THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE; ALLOCATING FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $5,000, FROM THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND, SUCH
EXPENDITURES HAVING BEEN CERTIFIED BY THE CHIEF OF POLICE AS
COMPLYING WITH STATE OF FLORIDA STATUTES, CHAPTER 932.7055, AS
AMENDED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. A contribution, in an amount not to exceed $5,000, to the Florida Chapter of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation National Academy Associates, Inc., as financial support to host the 2005
National Retraining Conference on July 2 - 6, 2005, by the Department of Police is authorized, with
funds allocated in an amount not to exceed $5,000, from the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, Project No.
690001, such expenditures having been approved by the Chief of Police as complying with the
provisions of State of Florida Statutes, Chapter 932.7055, as amended.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption and signature of the
Mayor.{1}

Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
