Downtown's Holiday Village Tim Schmand stated that Mr. Nelson Albareda, President of Unipro Group, was not able to attend the meeting due to a personal matter. Mr. Schmand informed the Trust of a recent conversation with Mr. Albareda, in which Mr. Albereda indicated that the Holiday Village event at International Mall was unsuccessful and that Unipro Group was currently in a care financial situation. Furthermore, Mr. Schmand informed the Trust of staff's periodical bankruptcy filings researches, in which Unipro Group has not yet been identified. Mr. Schmand also suggested the Trust direct the legal department take action to assure the recognition of the Trust's claim of $206,653.03. Discussion on the Unipro Group arrearage ensued, pertaining to the different options available to the Trust. A motion directing the Legal Department to initiate all legal steps necessary against Unipro Group to preserve the rights of the Bayfront Park Management Trust was made by Michael Barket, seconded by Frank Herrera and unanimously approved by the board. Erica Wright stated this item now required City Commission approval. 2. City Park Grant update, Ernest Burkeen Tim Schmand stated that included in the board packets was a report from the Parks and Recreation Department pertaining to the $500,000 Grant in support of City parks and recognized Mr. Ernest Burkeen, Director of Parks & Recreation, present to address the Trust. Mr. Burkeen provided the Trust with a verbal presentation of a list of expenditures per district. The Trust thanked Mr. Burkeen for the presentation. 3. USS Adams (Miami Naval Museum Vessel), Charles Stuart Tim Schmand stated pursuant to a request by City of Miami representatives, staff attempted to contact representatives for the Miami Naval Museum via email to provide them an invitation to the Trust meeting, but such attempts were unsuccessful. Mr. Schmand stated staff would continue to attempt to contact representatives and update the Trust. 4. CASA (Festival del Vallenato) request for BPMT event grant, David Castrillon and Milton Miranda David Castrillon, representing CASA, provided the board with a presentation for the upcoming Festival Vallenato event and formally requested a non-profit community grant. A motion approving a non-profit community grant for the Festival del Vallenato event, based on the Trust's event grant guidelines, was made by Dr. Pierre, seconded by Frank Herrera and unanimously approved by the board. 5.
