EXPERIENCE
2003 — Present Executive Office of the Governor Miami, FL
International Affairs and Protocol Liaison
• Responsible for promoting and coordinating Governor Bush's
international agenda, including working with South Florida's political
leaders and business community to organize the VIII I- rAA Ministerial
and Americas Business Forum in Miami and the upcoming OAS General
Assembly meeting in Ft. Lauderdale, and support Miami's candidacy for
the permanent seat of the FTAA secretariat.
• Served as the Governor's liaison to Florida's Consular Corps, the third
largest in the United States, and the Gulf of Mexico States Accord -
serve as the Accords Vice -President during the 2003-2004 period. In
addition to this, also represent the Governor on the following boards:
the Miami River Commission, the Florida PIAA, Inc. Board of
Trustees, and the VIII Ministerial and ABF Board of Trustees.
2002— 2003 Bush -Brogan Transition Team Tallahassee, FL
Coordinator, Economic Development Transition Team
• Responsible for preparing and staffing the Economic Development
Transition Team during its meetings across the state.
• Served as point of contact for all groups, agencies and individuals that
presented their ideas on how to diversify Florida's economy, improve
the state's business climate, and strengthen its position as a major
international gateway to the team.
2002— 2002 Bush -Brogan '02 Campaign Miami, FL
Field Director
• Worked closely with local elected officials, community leaders and civic
organizations to build an effective grassroots network to support the
Governor's campaign efforts, including coordinating the operations of
five regional campaign headquarters.
• Developed a grassroots plan to ensure that the campaign's message
reached our supporters.
• Advanced and staffed Governor Bush during his campaign visits to
Miami -Dade, Monroe and Broward counties, including preparing events,
press conferences and rallies.
