INTRODUCTION THE POINTE AT BRICKELL VILLAGE The Pointe at Brickell Village (the "Project") is a mixed use development consisting of 330 residential units, 13,659 square feet of retail, 41,553 square feet of office and 424 parking spaces all contained within a 42 story high structure. The Project is located at the intersection of South Miami Avenue and SW 11 Street with a street address of 1100 South Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida (the "Property"). The Property is vacant and contains 35, 115 square feet of net lot area. The Property is an urban infill property and accordingly all necessary public infrastructures are available. The Property is designed Restricted Commercial in the City of Miami Future Land Use Map of the City's Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan (the "Plan") and is zoned SD-7, Central Brickell Rapid Transit Commercial -Residential District, in the City's Zoning Ordinance No. 11000 (the "Ordinance"). The Property is also within the Area Wide Downtown Development of Regional Impact (the "DRI"). The Project is consistent with and permitted under the Plan, the Ordinance, and the DRI. The Project is designed with many urban features such as ground level retail both on South Miami Avenue and SW 11 Street creating pedestrian interaction all along the Project. The parking structure is lined with habitable space along South Miami Avenue wrapping around SW 11 Street. The balance of the parking structure is designed with architectural features integrated into the building's design. The Project is designed to give the effect of a series of interlocking volumes that results in a superior urban design that will enhance the rapidly growing Brickell area skyline and abutting streets. The Metrorail and People Mover stations are located within 500 feet of the Project making it very convenient for the residents of the Project to access the Brickell/Downtown areas of the City. The Mary Brickell Village development is one block north of the Project and will have a Publix grocery store, as well as, several restaurants and specialty stores. This application process is for your reference and review. It is intended to serve as a guide in acquainting you with our public hearing process. Following are a series of concerns/requirements for you take into account. By any means, please feel free to contact the department at the number above, should you have any questions. CITY OF MIAMI ORDINANCE NO. 11469, CODIFIED IN CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE VI OF THE CITY CODE STATES THAT ANY PERSON WHO RECEIVES COMPENSATION, REMUNERATION OR EXPENSES FOR CONDUCTING LOBBYING ACTIVITIES TO REGISTER AS A LOBBYIST WITH THE CITY CLERK, PRIOR TO ENGAGING IN LOBBYING ACTIVITIES BEFORE CITY STAFF, BOARDS, COMMITTEES AND THE CITY COMMISSION. The responses to the attached application must be typed and the complete application must be signed in black ink. It will be accepted, along with pertinent documents, only the first seven days (1-7) of the month from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. Please note that the cashier located on the 4th floor will close at 4:00 pm; therefore, the complete application, reviewed plans and a paid receipt must be submitted before the deadline. You will be responsible, if needed, to bring an interpreter for the English language to any presentation before city boards, committees and the city commission. Power of attorney will be required if neither applicant or legal counsel representing the applicant execute the application or desire to make a presentation before city boards, committees and the city commission. An additional cost to record the Zoning Board resolution is $6.00 for the first page and $4.50 for additional pages. All fees are subject to change. Also, for City Commission resolutions, please contact the City Clerk's Office at 305-250-5360. Applications for Zoning Change (Amendment to Zoning Atlas and/or Overlay District) and Land Use Change (Amend the Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan) will not be accepted unless it has a signature from the Planning and Zoning Department designee. Applications given to customers do not constitute action from the City of Miami without plans review and written comments from the Zoning Division of the Planning and Zoning Department.
