HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolutionCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 05-00197 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR TEMPORARY USE OF MIAM1-DADE COLLEGE FACILITIES, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH MIAMI-DADE COLLEGE, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, FOR USE OF THE DRIVING RANGE PLUS TWO (2) SKID CARS TO CONDUCT DRIVING TRAINING OF LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL, FROM MARCH 1, 2005 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2005, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $6,585; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE POLICE GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 001000.290201.6.270. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Department of Police will utilize the Miami -Dade College Driving Range plus the use of two (2) skid cars for driving training of its law enforcement personnel to commence on March 1, 2005, and to be completed by December 31, 2005; and WHEREAS, the Department of Police will compensate Miami -Dade College, a total not to exceed $6,585, for use of these facilities; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Agreement for Temporary Use of Miami -Dade College Facilities, in substantially the attached form, with Miami -Dade College, for the Department of Police, for use of the driving range plus the use of two (2) skid cards to conduct driving training of law enforcement personnel, from March 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005, in an amount not to exceed $6,585, with funds allocated from the Police General Operating Budget, Account Code No. 001000.290201.6.270. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JORGE L.
