HomeMy WebLinkAboutstaffing planMiami -Dade County/City of Miami PADD Project Staffing Plan and Personnel Requirements Miami -Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) plans to hire one PADD Coordinator who will be responsible for the day to day operations of the County/City PADD Program. This person will work out of MDFR's Fire Prevention Division -Community Affairs Bureau. Support from existing bureau administrative and supervisory staff will be provided to the PADD Coordinator. This person will report to the Bureau's Officer in Charge. Miami - Dade County hires and classifies positions based on level of responsibility. The PADD Coordinator will be classified as a Special Projects Administrator 1 (SPA 1). The starting salary for this position is $49,000; for 40 hours + of work per week. Salaried County personnel are referred to as "Job Basis" employees; they are not entitled to overtime and are expected to put in the required hours of work to get their job done. It is anticipated that this person will travel on a daily basis to conduct CPR training classes, to conduct AED training classes, for monthly meetings with the City of Miami Fire Rescue PADD coordinator. In addition this person will be required to perform the duties/responsibilities as listed on the PAD Coordinator Job Description in Appendix B. General qualifications for this position will include: A college degree, supervisory experience, a minimum of 4 years of business experience, certification in CPR/First Aid, ability to become a CPR Trainer, and EMT or Paramedic experience, training experience, excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast paced environment. Miami -Dade Fire Rescue will also use the services of our staff EMS Director for supervision of the PADD Coordinator and for programmatic review. We will have two Medical Director's, Dr. Donald Rosenberg who is highly recognized Cardiac Surgeon and serves as the Medical Director for Miami -Dade Fire Rescue's EMS Division will work along with City of Miami's Medical Director, Dr. Kathy Schrank. Both Doctors will perform the following for the PADD Program: • Review program, modify where appropriate and approve the program. • Issue Prescriptions for AEDs • Assist with overseeing Quality Management and guidance of the program • Supervise Document training, issue certifications and track certifications for expiration and re -certification training
