"Dear Commissioners, please vote in support of SR1 and against the giant LED billboards.
Thank you."
As the representative of some 500 families in my building, Marina Blue, to the Downtown
Neighborhood Association, I write in full support of SR 1, our commissioner's resolution that
SR. 1 would put reasonable limitations on lighted advertising signs that are unwanted in and harmful
888 #15416 to our neighborhood. Frankly, we think the ordinance actually doesn't go far enough, and are
Biscayne Amend not happy that the delay in moving this measure has already permitted an outrageous

Advertising by allowing these LED billboards to blast through our windows is an idea whose time never
was, no matter how much revenue some may gain from the sign owners. Please vote for SR 1
without further delay!

will be compounded by such an increase in density, and we have received zero assurances

History is ever fleeting in a world where it is not acknowledged. How many of you, who were
educated in South Florida, were educated on the history of Miami -Dade County? The history
of City of Miami Incorporators? As a one-third partner of the non-profit "Profiles In Black
18910 RE. 13 Miami," my research is focused on uncovering, documenting, and presenting to the public the
NW 31 #15909 untold and unknown history of black individuals in South Florida. The telling of black history is
sometimes intertwined with white history, as is the case with The City of Miami. On JuLy 28,
