AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING CHAPTER
10/ARTICLE I, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED
("CITY CODE"), ENTITLED "BUILDINGS/IN GENERAL," BY AMENDING SECTION
10-4(D) OF THE CITY CODE THAT SET FEES FOR BUILDING, PLUMBING,
ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, (INCLUDING BOILER AND ELEVATOR)
INSPECTION, PERMIT AND CERTIFICATE FEES AND ADDING SECTION 10-4(1)
TO INCLUDE A NEW PERMITTING CATEGORY ; CONTAINING A REPEALER
PROVISION, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Chapter 10, Article 1 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, is
amended in the following particulars:{1}
"Chapter 10
BUILDINGS
ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL
Sec. 10-4. Building permit fee schedule.

(d) Building permit fees. Fees listed do not include plumbing, electrical, or mechanical
installations, or use and occupancy fees. Fees for reflective paintings, signs, general advertising,
parking area lighting, pools, decorative ironwork, tree removal, chain link fences, walkways, etc. are
listed under section (i)LIMP (Land Improvement) permits.
{18) Painting.
Over $100 up to $500.00 of estimated cost or fractional part $-20.00
For each additional $500.00 $-a .00
{19) Trees. Landscaping:
Each tree (new, removal or transplant) $40.00

(i) LIMP Permits (Land Improvement Permits) are Zoning permits issued by the Building
Department.

Certificate of appropriateness from the Planning Department are required for all
changes affecting the exterior appearance of any structure or its setting within
designated historic sites or historic districts pursuant to Section 23.5 of the Miami
City Code.

Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with

the provisions of this Ordinance are repealed.
Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is
declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final reading and adoption
thereof.{2}

{2} This Ordinance shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Ordinance, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the effective date
stated herein, whichever is later.
