HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-05-0173City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-05-0173 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 05-00245 Final Action Date: 3/10/2005 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000, TO COVER EXPENSES FOR A RALLY EVENT THAT WILL BE HELD AT THE COCONUT GROVE CONVENTION CENTER ON MARCH 23, 2005, REGARDING THE PROPOSED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING CUTS; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM AN ACCOUNT TO BE IDENTIFIED BY THE CITY MANAGER, FOR SAID EVENT. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The City Manager is directed to appropriate an amount not to exceed $15,000, to cover expenses for a rally event that will be held at the Coconut Grove Convention Center on March 23, 2004, regarding the proposed Community Development Block Grant funding cuts, with funds allocated from an account to be identified by the City Manager, for said event. Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
